recipe for easy beef and broccoli for a date night meal
step one
Place a large stainless steel skillet on stove over medium heat and add the butter to the pan. Once butter is melted, add the ground beef and onions to the skillet. Cook until meat is no longer pink.
step two
Add the broccoli and carrots to the skillet and stir to combine. Place a lid on the skillet and let steam for ten minutes, or until veggies are cooked to your liking.
step three
While the veggies are steaming with the meat, mix together the sauce in a separate bowl. Combine the garlic, ground ginger powder, coconut aminos, arrowroot powder, and black pepper. Whisk until well combined and set aside.
step four
After ten minutes, remove the lid from the skillet, make sure your carrots and broccoli are tender, and turn the heat down to low. Proceed to pour the sauce throughout the skillet and stir well to combine. Your sauce will begin to thicken quickly. If you want to thin the sauce, you can add up to half a cup of water at this point. Let warm for one minute.
step five
Sprinkle the sesame seeds over the top of all of the ingredients and give a final stir to combine everything together.
step six
Serve immediately as is, or plate your skillet meal on top of rice of your choice. Enjoy! Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-5 days.
